Robert Half are working with a leading payments organisation looking for an experienced ISO Implementation Consultant to support the development and delivery of its ISO certification programme. This is an initial four-month contract, working approximately 20 hours per week, supporting a Europe-wide programme.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in ISO implementation, information security, GRC, technology risk or cyber security, with practical experience advising organisations on ISO requirements and supporting them through certification or audit readiness. The role will combine hands-on ISO expertise with programme management, stakeholder coordination and the development of an effective ISO operating model.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and delivery of the organisation's ISO certification programme.
  • Provide programme management and PMO support across the certification lifecycle.
  • Support the development and implementation of an effective ISO operating model.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, business teams and external partners.
  • Support certification planning, readiness and execution activities.
  • Conduct gap assessments and identify areas requiring remediation.
  • Support preparation for internal and external ISO audits.
  • Review and develop ISO policies, processes, controls and supporting documentation.
  • Provide practical advice and guidance to stakeholders on ISO requirements and best practice.
  • Track programme actions, risks, issues, dependencies and key milestones.
  • Support governance, reporting and stakeholder communications across the programme.
  • Help ensure the organisation is appropriately prepared for upcoming certification and audit activity.

Experience:

  • Strong commercial experience within ISO, Information Security, Cyber Security, GRC or Technology Risk.
  • Proven experience supporting organisations through ISO implementation, certification or audit preparation.
  • Strong understanding of ISO standards, controls, governance and certification requirements.
  • Experience advising clients or internal stakeholders on ISO requirements and supporting them towards certification.
  • ISO-related qualifications such as ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor would be highly desirable.
  • Experience carrying out ISO gap assessments, readiness assessments or control reviews.
  • Strong programme management / PMO experience, with the ability to manage actions, risks, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Comfortable working with senior stakeholders in a client-facing environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate ISO requirements into practical business actions.
  • Experience working within financial services, payments or another highly regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Able to work independently and provide structure within a developing certification programme.
  • Experience operating across multiple European stakeholders or international organisations would be beneficial.
