Robert Half are the exclusive recruitment partner to a fast growing, investor backed FMCG manufacturing business that due to international expansion, are seeking a confident, technically proficient and commercially focused Tax Accountant to coordinate and deliver both direct, indirect and transfer pricing calculations and advisory services for the UK entities.
This role would suit a tax accountant / tax assistant that is looking to develop and grow with an organisation, has understanding and exposure to a variety of tax / VAT challenges, is a self-starter and is happy with 1-2 days in office per week.
Duties:
- VAT Compliance: Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns in compliance with local tax laws and deadlines. Reconcile VAT accounts and investigate variances or anomalies. Monitor changes in VAT legislation and advise the business on implications.
- Plastic tax compliance: Prepare, review and submit plastic tax returns. Monitor changes in Plastic tax law.
- Year-End Tax Disclosure: Support the preparation of the year-end tax disclosure in accordance with relevant IFRS accounting standards. Collaborate with the finance team and external auditors during year-end close and audits. Ensure appropriate documentation and reconciliation of tax and deferred tax balances.
- Annual Tax Returns: Liaise with external tax advisors in the process of corporate tax returns preparation. Maintain accurate and complete tax records and supporting documentation.
- General Tax Support: Assist with tax audits, assessments, and inquiries from tax authorities. Support transfer pricing documentation and other compliance requirements. Contribute to process improvements and automation of tax processes where applicable.
