Requirements

  • We are looking for a Senior Data Platform Engineer with around 8 years of data engineering experience in complex enterprise environments.
  • We require strong experience with cloud data warehouse technologies, ideally BigQuery; Snowflake or Redshift experience will also be considered.
  • We require hands‑on experience with GCP technologies, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer, and Cloud Functions.
  • We require strong Python development experience and experience with modern data integration tools such as Fivetran.
  • We require experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tooling, including Terraform and GitHub Actions.
  • We require strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tooling such as Cloud Monitoring and PagerDuty.
  • We require proven experience integrating CRM, ERP, and Billing/BSS systems.
  • We require experience delivering critical cutover and hypercare phases within large-scale transformation programmes.
  • We require the ability to operate as a senior individual contributor and own key technical workstreams.
  • We require excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • We will expect you to take ownership of the end‑to‑end production data platform, including ingestion, orchestration, infrastructure, and observability.
  • We will expect you to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines across CRM, ERP, and billing systems.
  • We will expect you to lead platform readiness activities ahead of a critical NetSuite cutover and support hypercare phases.
  • We will expect you to build and maintain integrations across Salesforce/Ability, NetSuite/Sage X3, and Billing/BSS platforms.
  • We will expect you to implement and manage Reverse ETL workflows using Hightouch.
  • We will expect you to manage supplier data ingestion through SFTP and cloud‑based services.
  • We will expect you to ensure strong monitoring, alerting, platform reliability, and operational excellence.
  • We will expect you to take ownership of a core engineering workstream and drive delivery through to completion.
  • We will expect you to produce high‑quality technical documentation and support BAU handover activities.
  • We will expect you to collaborate with internal stakeholders, third‑party suppliers, and project teams to deliver key programme objectives.

This is a contract position with a hybrid working model, requiring 2 days on‑site in Hampshire every other week.
