We are working with a well-established and growing accountancy practice seeking an experienced and client-focused Client Manager to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong client relationships while managing a varied portfolio and supporting the delivery of high-quality financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries
- Acting as the main point of contact for client queries and providing proactive financial advice
- Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of accounts, tax returns, and financial statements
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships
- Supporting clients with business planning, financial forecasting, and compliance requirements
- Liaising with internal teams to ensure work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Identifying opportunities to support clients with additional services
- Assisting with mentoring and supporting junior team members where required
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in a client-facing role within finance or accountancy
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships effectively
- Good technical knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- Relevant accountancy qualifications (ACA, ACCA, AAT or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- Experience managing a client portfolio
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
