Robert Half are working on behalf of a Wiltshire based business to find a Project Accountant (IFRS 15) for 3 months. QBE or Qualified. Wiltshire (Hybrid/On-site as required) Contract Length: 3 months +

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant with strong IFRS 15 and revenue recognition expertise to support a short-term finance project. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust variance analysis, and effective budgeting within a complex, ERP-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply IFRS 15 principles to ensure accurate revenue recognition
  • Review and analyse project revenue, costs, and margins
  • Perform detailed variance analysis (actuals vs budgets and forecasts)
  • Support month-end close activities related to project accounting
  • Prepare and review financial reports for stakeholders
  • Partner with project managers and finance teams to improve financial control
  • Work within and extract data from a large ERP system
  • Identify and resolve revenue and cost discrepancies
  • Support ad-hoc finance and project work as required
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Accountant
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS 15
  • Experience in revenue recognition
  • Demonstrable expertise in variance analysis and actual vs budget reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
  • Experience working with large ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and deliver to tight deadlines
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA/ QBE)
