This is a well-established contracts management and services business based in Greenwich (SE10). They design, build, and maintain the interior and technical systems of buildings with a focus on commercial properties, managing the end-to-end life cycle of projects.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to hire a talented Payroll Manager to join their finance team. This position will be based full-time on site in their Greenwich office.

Role

Reporting into the Finance Director, the Payroll Manager will take sole ownership of the end-to-end payroll function within the business dealing with weekly & monthly payroll processing. They will be responsible for several key duties including:

  • Taking sole ownership of the weekly and monthly payroll, expenses and timesheets.
  • Reconciling timesheets with People HR records and chasing missing or incorrect information.
  • Managing monthly payroll submissions, including pensions, PAYE, CIS and EPS.
  • Preparing annual payroll documentation such as P11Ds, P45s, P60s and vehicle reporting.
  • Processing employee expenses, home allowances and company credit card transactions.
  • Supporting new starter onboarding across payroll, finance systems and employee benefits.
  • Maintaining accurate data within NetSuite, including invoice entry and payment matching.
  • Ensuring all direct debit invoices are received and processed each month.
  • Assisting with month-end journals, including apprentice and internal revenue journals.
  • Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties as required.

Profile

The ideal profile for this Payroll Manager position based in south east London should have the following attributes:

  • 4+ years of experience within a sole or senior payroll manager/specialist capacity.
  • Strong experience in owning end-to-end payroll processes (weekly and monthly).
  • Good knowledge around documentation such as P11Ds, P45s etc.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience supporting journals and working closely with accounting teams preferred.
  • Experience with NetSuite would be advantageous.

Salary / Package

£45,000 - £53,000 + additional benefits including:
