We are currently supporting the appointment of a Financial Controller for a well-established manufacturing business based in the West Midlands. This is a key leadership role within the finance team, reporting directly to the CFO and playing a critical part in driving both operational and strategic performance. This is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial control, and robust forecasting across the UK operation, as well as acting as a key business partner to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the local finance function and team
- Deliver accurate and timely monthly reporting for both local and group requirements
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and working capital management
- Maintain strong financial controls, compliance and audit readiness
- Provide commercial insight and analysis to support decision making
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
- Support operational teams with financial performance insight
About You:
- Qualified accountant
- Strong background in manufacturing or industrial environments
- Experience in Financial Controller or senior finance leadership roles
- Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS exposure ideally)
- Confident working with ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous)
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical ability
- Able to operate at both strategic and detailed operational level
