The Permanent Division of Robert Half is excited to be working on a retained basis with Premier Cables/IEWC in Bedford to assist with the recruitment of a Management Accountant IEWC is a leading supplier of wire, cable, and wire management products and also specializes in manufacturing value added solutions.

The organization has grown organically and through acquisition during its 60-year history and today is comprised of six companies: IEWC, Cablcon, Jupiter Communications, Premier Cables, Bevco & Simcona.
Premier Cables has recently located to a larger site in Bedford to accommodate the 3-5 year growth plan.
Employing c.65 employees - this is the base for the EMEA operation which has presence in mainland Germany.
The Role The Management Accountant will play a key role in delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and actionable insight to support strategic decision-making.
You will take ownership of the month-end process, budget preparation, variance analysis, and operational forecasting while acting as a trusted finance business partner across departments.

Day to day duties will consist of: Lead the end-to-end month-end process, ensuring accurate closure of ledgers and timely preparation of monthly management accounts.
Prepare Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, Balance Sheet reconciliations, and Cash Flow statements.
Calculate and post accruals, prepayments, fixed asset depreciation, and intercompany transactions.
Produce commentary on monthly performance, identifying key cost drivers and variances against budget and forecast.
Assist in the annual budgeting process and quarterly/rolling forecasts across revenue and operational expenditure.
Conduct margin, product, and cost-centre profitability analysis to identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.
Prepare financial packs for the monthly departmental business reviews In collaboration with Materials Management, analyse inventory levels, stock turns, and sales trends to identify inventory anomalies, excess holdings, or shortages.
Monitor working capital and maintain cash flow forecasts.
Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Act as a primary liaison for annual statutory audit preparation.
Ensure a culture of continuous improvement in the policies, systems, processes, and methods of the supervised function.
Stay updated with emerging financial technologies and best practices.
Ensure that documentation is maintained to allow the Finance Department to track all acquisitions, maintenance, and repair of real estate, distribution centre, and office equipment at all IEWC EMEA subsidiaries.
Your Profile You will be a Qualified Accountant with a 'can do' Approach to financial issues and able to take ownership and accountability for cross functional issues and commercial support.
Previous experience of UK/US GAAP would be beneficial as would Rubicon or SAP exposure.
You will be interpersonally effective and looking for a strong opportunity to develop skills and experience in a fast moving business.
