Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing business near Cambridge to recruit a qualified Management Accountant for an initial six-month interim assignment. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding organisation that is creating a new position within its finance team. The role is being introduced on an interim basis to support continued growth, with the intention of assessing the long-term need for the position. As a result, there is genuine potential for the contract to be extended or converted into a permanent role.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll take ownership of the monthly management accounts process while supporting a range of ongoing finance and business improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts
- Lead month-end close activities, including journals, accruals and prepayments
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Produce insightful financial analysis and management reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cash flow reporting
- Partner with stakeholders across the business to provide financial support and challenge
- Contribute to ongoing finance projects and process improvement initiatives
- Assist with the continued development of the finance function as the business grows
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Previous experience producing full management accounts within a commercial environment
- Strong month-end accounting experience
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems
- Experience using Xero would be advantageous, although not essential
- Available to start immediately or at short notice
