Insurance Manager
Birmingham City Centre | Hybrid | Up to Β£75,000 Are you an experienced insurance professional currently working with large corporate clients and looking to take your expertise in-house? This is an opportunity to take ownership of insurance across a complex organisation, working closely with senior stakeholders and bringing together strong technical insurance knowledge with commercial understanding. We are particularly interested in professionals who have worked within the
corporate insurance market , particularly those who have advised or managed insurance programmes for large, complex organisations.
The role
As Insurance Manager, you will take responsibility for the organisation's insurance requirements, working across a broad and complex insurance environment and providing senior-level expertise and guidance. You will be expected to understand not only the technical detail of insurance programmes, but also how insurance decisions impact the wider business. Key areas will include: Managing and overseeing complex corporate insurance arrangements Working with brokers and other external insurance partners Understanding
excess layers, aggregates and insurance programme structures Managing claims and insurance-related matters across the organisation Working closely with senior internal stakeholders Assessing insurance requirements and providing commercially focused recommendations Ensuring insurance arrangements deliver appropriate value and support the wider business Managing relationships with major corporate insurance stakeholders
What we're looking for
The background of the successful candidate could come from a number of routes. You may currently be working as: Client Executive Executive Broker Senior Broker Corporate Insurance Broker Insurance Manager Chartered Insurance Practitioner A senior professional within a
claims environment The key is your level of technical knowledge, commercial understanding and experience working with sophisticated corporate clients. You will ideally have: Strong understanding of
excess layers and aggregates Experience working with
large, complex insurance programmes Experience supporting or managing
major corporate / FTSE 500-sized clients Strong broker and client relationship management experience Experience operating with senior stakeholders A good understanding of the claims environment The ability to understand
ROI, commercial value and business impact Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
