A newly created role within a growing UK manufacturing group, offering full commercial ownership across Finance, IT, Sales, Purchasing and Contract Management. This is a high-impact position where you'll shape commercial strategy, lead negotiations, optimise supplier performance and drive profitable growth across two established sites. You'll work closely with the Managing Directors to help space and scale the businesses over the next five years. Responsibilities

  • Commercial leadership - owning pricing strategy, customer contract reviews and commercial decision-making
  • Contract negotiation - leading customer pricing discussions, approving new contract proposals and ensuring commercial viability
  • Procurement oversight - reviewing supplier contracts, improving cost efficiency and strengthening supplier relationships
  • Strategic finance - driving budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
  • Operational leadership - overseeing Finance, Sales and Purchasing teams and acting as deputy to the Managing Directors
  • Governance & compliance - ensuring audit readiness and alignment with group processes

Candidate Profile

  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong manufacturing experience
  • Senior background at Head of Finance, Financial Controller or Finance Director level
  • A strong commercial mindset - confident reviewing contracts, leading negotiations and shaping commercial strategy
  • Experience managing procurement, supplier contracts and cost-efficiency programmes
  • Working knowledge of integrated ERP systems
  • Comfortable being hands-on across Finance, Sales or Purchasing when needed
