About the Role
Are you a qualified accountant with a strong background in external audit or practice? We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Assurance & Compliance Manager to review, enhance, and embed our existing internal control and assurance framework. In this critical role, you will move quickly from a standing start to design, document, and test a system-enforced control environment. You will provide the Senior Leadership Team and the Board with total confidence that key enterprise risks are effectively managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Internal Controls: Design, document, and embed a best-in-class Internal Control Framework, including robust segregation of duties.
- Framework Ownership: Maintain and enforce the Delegated Authority Matrix and overall audit readiness.
- Risk Management: Collaborate across the Group to support the Risk Register review cycle, maintain the risk heat map, and track mitigation accountability.
- Governance Partnership: Work alongside the Head of EHS & Governance to assess broader enterprise risk and control effectiveness.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
Experience: Strong background in practice or external audit is highly preferred.
Skills: Proven ability to build, document, and test compliance frameworks from scratch.
Mindset: A hands-on deliverer who thrives in setting up new processes and governance structures.
