Robert Half are delighted to be working with a highly successful, internationally recognised organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner into a high-performing Finance team. If you are a qualified accountant looking for something more exciting than a standard Finance Business Partner position, want genuine exposure to complex commercial and technical finance and would thrive in a high-performance environment, this is an opportunity you should seriously consider.
This is a five-day-a-week office-based role, but the working environment is exceptional and designed around employee wellbeing, performance and development. This is not your typical Finance Business Partner role. It is a rare opportunity for a qualified accountant to join an exceptional, high-performance environment where Finance is genuinely at the heart of operational and commercial decision-making.
You will work closely with senior operational and technical stakeholders, taking ownership of financial performance, project costs, forecasting, analysis and commercial insight.
The Role
- Business partnering with senior operational and technical stakeholders.
- Taking ownership of project cost control, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
- Producing accurate and timely weekly forecasts and financial reporting.
- Identifying overspends, risks, opportunities and key financial drivers.
- Developing complex financial models to provide accurate and meaningful insight.
- Presenting financial information and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise and compelling way.
- Building and costing business cases to support commercial and operational decisions.
- Working with large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Supporting complex financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Driving automation and continuous improvement across financial reporting processes.
- Using systems and tools including SAP, Power Query, Power BI, Alteryx and advanced Excel.
- Taking ownership of projects from initial scope through to delivery and ensuring agreed actions are followed through.
About You
- We are looking for a qualified accountant who is technically strong, commercially minded and genuinely enjoys business partnering.
- Strong experience across budgeting, forecasting, cost control and variance analysis.
- Experience working with complex financial information and large datasets.
- Excellent Excel skills, with Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools highly desirable.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, R&D, automotive or another technically complex environment would be advantageous.
- The confidence to challenge senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisation and time management, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- A proactive, accountable approach and the ability to take ownership and deliver end-to-end.
