Icon Cancer Centre and Pharmaxo Group are leading healthcare providers delivering specialist services across the United Kingdom. Together, they bring a highly experienced team providing comprehensive cancer care, including medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology, chemotherapy, research, pharmacy, theranostics and PET-CT through Icon Cancer Centre UK, alongside sterile compounding, and nursing home healthcare services through Pharmaxo. Together, Icon Cancer Centre and Pharmaxo deliver an end-to-end healthcare service for patients and partners across the UK.
We're looking for an experienced IT Operations Manager to lead IT operations across our UK business, supporting cancer centres, compounding facilities and home healthcare services. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering reliable, secure and high-performing IT services across a complex multi-site healthcare environment.
The role
- You'll lead IT operations across the UK, overseeing infrastructure, networks, service delivery, cloud and data centre operations, service desk, platform support, and supplier performance.

Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop and mentor the IT Operations team across infrastructure, networks, service desk and support.
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, ensuring reliable, secure and resilient services.
- Manage incident, problem and change processes in line with ITIL principles.
- Monitor and improve service performance, including SLAs, KPIs and customer satisfaction.
- Support business-critical platforms, including D365 and other core systems.
- Manage third-party vendors and service providers to meet delivery expectations.
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to align IT services with operational needs.
- Contribute to IT strategy, delivery planning, governance and continuous improvement.
About you
You're a confident, collaborative IT leader with strong experience in complex operational environments.
Essential
- Proven experience leading IT operations, infrastructure and service delivery teams.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networks, servers, storage, virtualisation, backups, cloud services and systems administration.
- Experience with ITIL-aligned incident, problem and change management.
- Strong supplier, risk and budget management experience.
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate technical issues into practical business outcomes.
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare, life sciences or another regulated environment.
- Knowledge of UK healthcare and compliance frameworks, including NHS, DSPT, GDPR, DPIA and Cyber Essentials Plus.
- Experience in multi-site environments.
- Exposure to Microsoft D365 support.
- Degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Project management and/or leadership qualification.

- Salary up to £90,000.
- Hybrid working - office based in Corsham.
- Enhanced annual leave package increasing with Length of Service (25 days + bank holidays, increasing to 27 days + bank holidays after 3 years' service).
- Enhanced pension contribution rates - Auto-enrolment from day 1 at basic contributions (5% employee, 4% employer) or the individual can elect to increase their contribution to 6% to which the employer will double their contribution to 8%.
