Payroll Specialist in Hampshire

Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation near Basingstoke in the search for a Payroll Specialist This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive finance team, with exposure to both payroll and wider finance responsibilities. The Role You'll take ownership of payroll administration for a portfolio of clients, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while delivering an excellent level of customer service. Key responsibilities include: Preparing, processing and checking end-to-end payrolls Managing starters, leavers and employee payroll changes Processing Auto Enrolment and pension uploads Producing payslips and completing RTI, FPS/EPS and HMRC submissions Administering statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP Handling payroll queries professionally and efficiently Supporting year-end payroll processes including P60s and P11Ds Assisting the finance team with purchase invoices and bank reconciliations during busier periods About You We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working in a collaborative environment. You'll ideally have: 1-2 years' experience across the full payroll lifecycle A payroll qualification (or be studying towards one) Experience using BrightPay payroll software Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities The ability to manage deadlines with a high level of accuracy Accounts payable experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential What's on Offer Salary of £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience Hybrid working and flexible hours 25 days holiday plus bank holidays Friendly, collaborative finance team with genuine career progression Free on-site parking If you're looking to join a stable business where you can continue building your payroll career in a varied and supportive role, we'd love to hear from you.
