We are seeking a qualified, ambitious, and technically capable finance Accountant / Group Financial Accountant who is a proactive self-starter with a strong desire to learn and drive continuous improvement across the organisation. The successful candidate will take ownership of a range of strategic and operational projects, including system implementations, AI initiatives, and process enhancement programmes as well as acquisition accounting. They will play a key role in configuring and optimising financial systems for the wider group, ensuring appropriate access controls and supporting users across the business.
Key Requirements
- ACA qualified (or equivalent).
- Strong technical accounting expertise with the ability to manage complex consolidations and group reporting.
- Highly systems-oriented and technology-savvy, with experience of finance systems, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment and taking ownership of projects from conception through to implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence change across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly financial close process across four legal entities.
- Receive trial balance-level information from local finance teams and complete the month-end close, consolidations, and reporting requirements.
- Prepare accurate and timely management and financial reporting for the group.
- Lead and support ongoing finance transformation projects, including AI and system implementations.
- Work closely with the external audit team to deliver audits efficiently and identify opportunities for process and control improvements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance and the wider organisation.
- Provide leadership and guidance to colleagues through indirect (dotted-line) management responsibility for six employees.
