This newly created Finance Analysis role for a rapidly growing Venture Capital firm pays £60,000 to £70,000 depending on experience with a discretionary bonus, based in SE1.

As a Finance Analysis, you will play a key role in the entire deal cycle, from market research to fundamental analysis and due diligence. You will work closely with the CFO and Founder, with various tasks and projects. Please find a brief outline of the role below:

  • Reviewing and helping to build financial models for startups who are raising their next round of investment
  • Supporting on venture debt raises, either as a standalone round or as a component of an equity round
  • Performing analytical reviews of companies, and supporting them to become investor-ready
  • Supporting startups and investors with due diligence
  • Working closely with the founders to establish a clear set of assumptions and value drivers of their business, and then modelling these out on a 5-year basis
  • Evaluating startup companies' investment opportunities
  • Managing the investor-readiness process of companies from a finance point of view, including document preparation and review, and building stronger relationships with founders
  • Supporting external presentations, and ecosystem reports
  • Conducting market research on emerging industry trends
  • Supporting existing clients with ad-hoc requests

The Finance Analysis for this Venture Capital Firm is ideally for someone who is:

  • Audit trained (ACA) - preference for top audit firms
  • Has at least 2 years' experience in a transnational services role
  • Excellent financial modelling skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel
  • Someone who has worked with financial services or tech businesses

The Finance Analysis will report into a hugely impressive CFO and will work very closely on the day-to-day operations. The Venture Capital business has 200 high-growth companies and continues to add 1-2 new portfolio companies per month. The Venture Capital business is not slowing down and has very ambitious plans for the next couple of years.

Salary is benchmarked at £60,000 to £70,000 based on experience. Additionally, there is a discretionary bonus.
