Robert Half Finance & Accounting are supporting a business who are looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a fixed term contract basis for 9 months. This opportunity has the potential to be extended and can either be based in Plymouth or Exeter.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 12 months, with potential of extension
Location: Plymouth or Exeter
Salary: £30,000 - £32,000
Working hours: 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch break
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining the accounts payable ledger
- Maintaining the accounts receivable ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month end - accruals, prepayments
- Assisting with client reporting
- Liaising and resolving client queries
- Self-assessment tax returns
- Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks to assist the wider business
Desired experience/background:
- Proven experience in a similar varied position
- Initiative to work in both individually and in a team environment
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication
- Computer literate
- Experience using Xero - Desirable
- Studied or currently studying AAT - Desirable
