This is a high-impact role that sits at the centre of commercial decision-making, working closely with teams across Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Senior Leadership. You will be responsible for analysing business performance, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency, and turning data into practical recommendations that support revenue growth, customer outcomes, and strategic planning. This is not purely a reporting role. This is a full-time permanent role based in Milton Keynes.

Commercial Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Analyse commercial performance across sales, customer acquisition, revenue, operational activity, and overall business growth.
  • Produce regular insight reports and performance dashboards that provide clear visibility of trends and key metrics.
  • Develop and maintain reporting tools to support decision-making across the organisation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and support commercial growth initiatives.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business challenges and provide data-driven recommendations.
  • Analyse pipeline performance, conversion rates, customer behaviour, and product performance to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support forecasting, planning, and commercial modelling activities.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitor research, and strategic reviews to support business planning.
  • Help improve the quality, consistency, and accessibility of business data.
  • Work alongside Technology, Data, and Commercial teams to enhance reporting capability and business intelligence.
  • Support strategic projects, process improvements, system enhancements, and wider business change initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and improve the way information is collected and shared.
  • Use analytical tools and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted tools where appropriate, to improve insight generation and efficiency.

Ideal Commercial Analyst Profile:

  • Experience in a Commercial Analyst, Business Analyst, Strategy Analyst, Reporting Analyst, or similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify meaningful trends.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience building reports, models, and analysing large datasets.
  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Good understanding of KPIs, forecasting, commercial performance measures, and business drivers.
  • Experience presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Experience working with CRM systems or operational data is essential.
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience within financial services, lending, banking, or FinTech would be advantageous but is not essential.

If you are a commercially focused analyst who enjoys turning data into actionable insight and influencing strategic business decisions, we would love to hear from you.
