Robert Half is partnering with a well-established international distribution business to recruit a Finance Business Partner into a high-impact, commercially focused role. This position will sit at the heart of the organisation, working closely with senior leadership and operational teams to drive performance, improve decision-making, and support strategic growth. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys operating as a true business partner rather than a purely reporting-focused finance role.
The Role
As Finance Business Partner, you will act as a key link between finance, operations, and senior stakeholders. You will provide insight-led analysis, lead planning and forecasting activities, and support commercial decision-making across the business.
Key responsibilities
- Monthly sales, margin, and KPI reporting (financial and non-financial)
- Real-time sales performance analysis and insight
- Supply chain and stock accounting, including valuation, rebates, and provisioning
- Monitoring purchasing performance against sales, stock levels, and supplier agreements
- Supporting senior leadership in commercial negotiations with suppliers
- Calculation and review of commission and remuneration structures
- Ownership of key provisions, including bonuses, rebates, stock, bad debts, and customer-related provisions
- Annual budgeting and in-year forecasting, including cash flow forecasting
- Financial modelling and appraisal of ad hoc business opportunities
Your Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
- Strong commercial and analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into insight
- Confident communicator, able to influence non-finance and senior stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems
- Exposure to BI and reporting tools such as Power BI
- Strong understanding of operational drivers and how they impact financial performance
The Offer
- Salary of £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working (3 days on site, 2 from home)
