Robert Half are working with a growing and ambitious organisation to recruit a Head of HR & Recruitment. This is a senior, hands-on leadership role requiring substantial recruitment and talent management experience, alongside oversight of the wider HR function.
The successful candidate will lead the people strategy for a growing business, with direct ownership of recruitment and talent, while also driving HR process improvement, optimisation and scalability to support continued growth.
The Role
The Head of HR & Recruitment will be responsible for the end-to-end HR and recruitment function, ensuring people strategy, talent acquisition and workforce planning are aligned to business objectives. This role combines strategic leadership with operational delivery and requires a proactive individual who remains closely involved in HR & recruitment activity.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Leadership & People Strategy
- Lead and oversee the HR function, ensuring policies, processes and systems support a growing organisation
- Develop and deliver a people and HR strategy aligned to current and future business needs
- Drive continuous improvement and optimisation across HR processes, systems and reporting
- Act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders and managers on all people-related matters
- Support workforce planning, succession planning and organisational development
- Ensure HR practices promote diversity, inclusion and fairness
- Provide operational and ad hoc HR support as required
- Recruitment & Talent
- Take full ownership of the recruitment and talent agenda across the business
- Lead and manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from attraction through to onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to define requirements, job descriptions and selection methods
- Develop and execute recruitment and talent acquisition strategies to meet growth plans
- Proactively source candidates using CV databases, LinkedIn and other search tools
- Write engaging, inclusive job adverts and manage multi-channel recruitment campaigns
- Build and maintain strong talent pipelines and a talent bank for future hiring needs
- Enhance employer branding and the organisation's reputation as an employer of choice
- Conduct screening, interviews and selection activities as required
- Manage candidate experience, feedback, offers and negotiations
- Oversee the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and recruitment KPIs
- Manage recruitment budgets and monitor return on investment
- Produce regular recruitment and talent reports for senior leadership
- Coach and train hiring managers on effective recruitment and selection practices
- Talent Development
- Identify high-potential employees and future leaders in partnership with line managers
- Support internal talent development, progression and succession planning
- Design and support career pathways and development initiatives
About You
- Significant, demonstrable experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, alongside HR leadership
- Proven track record of leading and delivering end-to-end recruitment in a growing organisation
- Strong HR generalist background with experience overseeing HR operations and strategy
- Experience improving and optimising recruitment and HR processes
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on capacity while providing strategic leadership
- Confident stakeholder manager with the ability to influence at senior level
- Data-driven, with experience reporting on recruitment and people metrics
