AAT Finance OfficerLocation: BlackwoodSalary: £28,000 - £30,000AAT Finance Officer: We are currently recruiting for an AAT-qualified or AAT-studying Finance Officer on behalf of our client, a well-established organisation based in Blackwood.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional looking to build on their accounting experience and develop their career within a supportive finance team.
The RoleWorking as part of the finance function, you will provide support across a range of transactional and accounting activities, helping to ensure the accurate and efficient management of the organisation's financial records.
Key responsibilities will include: Processing purchase and sales invoices.
Managing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions.
Completing regular bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
Processing payments, expenses and staff claims.
Assisting with credit control and resolving outstanding queries.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Supporting month-end and year-end accounting processes.
Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and management information.
Posting journals and supporting general ledger activities.
Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies.
Liaising with suppliers, customers and internal departments.
Assisting with VAT returns and other statutory requirements where required.
Supporting the wider finance team with ad-hoc accounting duties and projects.
About YouThe successful candidate will ideally be: AAT qualified, part-qualified or currently studying towards an AAT qualification.
Experienced in a finance or accounts environment. Confident with double-entry bookkeeping and general accounting principles.
Experienced in areas such as purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations.
Highly accurate with excellent attention to detail.
Comfortable working with financial data and meeting deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
Experienced with accounting software or finance systems. A strong communicator with a professional and collaborative approach.
Keen to develop their accounting knowledge and progress their finance career.
