My client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Assistant to support both the procurement and accounting teams. This hybrid role involves managing purchasing processes, supplier relationships, and financial administration, ensuring smooth operations across both functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement (50%)
- Assist with purchase order processing and tracking
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage orders and delivery schedules
- Support supplier on-boarding and maintain supplier databases
- Help negotiate prices and terms with vendors under supervision
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in demand forecasting
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures
- Process and match invoices to purchase orders and delivery receipts
- Assist in managing accounts payable and receivable
- Support month-end financial reporting and reconciliations
- Maintain accurate records of procurement-related transactions
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with budgeting and cost tracking for procurement activities
