Our client, a Warwickshire-based organisation, is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support the finance function during a period of change. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring someone who can quickly take ownership of day-to-day financial operations while partnering closely with senior stakeholders. This assignment is initially for 3 months, however there is a clear opportunity for the role to become permanent for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day running of the finance function
- Leading the month-end process, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Producing accurate and timely management accounts
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Ensuring robust financial controls and compliance with statutory requirements
- Acting as a key finance business partner to non-finance stakeholders
- Managing and developing junior members of the finance team
- Liaising with external auditors and advisors
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
- Strong technical accounting background with a hands-on approach
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced or transitional environment
- Experience producing management accounts end-to-end
- Strong Excel skills and exposure to finance systems/ERPs
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Able to commit to 5 days per week on-site in Warwickshire
- Immediately available or on short notice
Qualifications:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience
