Robert Half are working with a large, international real estate and professional services organisation to recruit a permanent Finance Business Partner into a senior commercial role supporting their growing European operations. Reporting into the Finance Director, this role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and real estate strategy, partnering closely with senior stakeholders across multiple European markets. You will provide commercial insight, financial challenge, and strategic support in a fast-paced, client-facing environment, helping to shape performance, inform investment decisions, and drive business growth. This is a highly visible role with influence across a complex, multi-country business, providing exposure to senior leadership and involvement in key business initiatives.
About the Position
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be responsible for:
- Driving robust financial management and insight across the European real estate operations through high-quality management accounts and analysis.
- Partnering with senior stakeholders to assess and challenge performance across revenue, margins, headcount, pipelines, client wins and losses, debt, risks, and opportunities.
- Preparing clear, concise financial summaries, report packs, and commentary to support confident decision-making at leadership level.
- Acting as a key point of contact for financial queries across the European business, ensuring timely resolution.
- Overseeing the monthly close process, ensuring adherence to revenue recognition policies, balance sheet governance, and internal controls.
- Owning bonus and commission calculations and tracking.
- Managing and refining allocation methodologies to ensure fair and transparent cost distribution across teams.
What We're Looking For
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- 5-6 years' post-qualified experience in a senior finance business partnering or commercial finance role.
- Experience within Real Estate is highly desirable but not essential.
- Strong capability in building senior-level presentation decks with clear insight, narrative, and actionable recommendations.
- Proven experience driving change, including process improvements, systems enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
- Advanced modelling, forecasting, and ad-hoc analytical skills.
- Confident communicator with experience partnering senior leadership across multiple geographies.
- A continuous improvement mindset with an interest in automation and data improvement.
