Financial Accountant

• Support month-end and year-end consolidation processes with the Group Reporting Manager, ensuring continuous improvements and full documentation of consolidation entries.

• Assist in preparing Group consolidated monthly management accounts and analysis (for inclusion in the CFO Report and Lenders’ Pack).

• Take ownership of accounting for central holding entities.

• Conduct robust balance sheet reviews for trading entities, ensuring no surprises.

• Manage Group-level reconciliations for investments in subsidiaries, goodwill, acquired intangibles, right of use assets, leases, and equity balances (monthly or quarterly).

• Support Group budgeting and reforecasting, focusing on working capital, cash flow statements, and review of OpCo submissions.

• Collaborate with the System Accountant to ensure the consolidation system (Tagetik) is fit for purpose and producing accurate reports.

• Develop and monitor financial controls, driving efficiency in processes like O2C, P2P, and R2R.

• Assist in preparing sections of the Group Annual Report (under IFRS).

• Prepare subsidiary accounts (under FRS101).

• Support the accounting and integration of acquisitions.

• Draft technical papers as required.

• Participate in change processes across the finance function (e.g., new consolidation and reporting tools).

As the Financial Accountant, you will have solid technical accounting skills, strong Excel abilities, and be a self-starter., * Strong understanding of controls and procedures.

• Extensive technical knowledge of IFRS.
