The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Group Tax Analyst to join a high-performing Group Finance function on an initial 3-month interim contract, with potential for extension. This is a key role providing cover within the Group Tax function, working closely with the Group Head of Tax and wider Finance teams across the UK and Europe. The successful candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running, take ownership of key tax accounting and reporting activities, and provide immediate support across a broad range of UK and international tax matters. This would suit an experienced Corporate Tax / Tax Accounting professional with previous in-house experience who is comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support UK corporate tax compliance and reporting activities.
  • Prepare and support monthly, quarterly and year-end tax reporting.
  • Prepare tax disclosures for statutory accounts and management reporting.
  • Assist with corporate tax budgeting and forecasting.
  • Prepare and calculate management fees and support associated tax considerations.
  • Assist with transfer pricing projects, documentation and implementation.
  • Support Employment Related Securities (ERS) returns.
  • Undertake CFC analysis and support international tax activities.
  • Manage and support UK corporation tax quarterly instalment payments.
  • Support US quarterly corporate tax reporting.
  • Coordinate with Finance teams across the UK and Europe on corporate tax matters.
  • Provide support and analysis on international taxation issues, including transfer pricing.
  • Support tax activities relating to acquisitions, business transfers and wider transformation projects.
  • Coordinate Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) across the European group.
  • Provide support across VAT and employment tax matters where required.
  • Assist the Group Head of Tax with ad hoc tax projects and strategic initiatives.

About You

We are looking for someone who can quickly understand an existing tax environment and become a valuable member of the team. You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience in UK corporate tax.
  • Previous in-house / industry experience.
  • Strong tax accounting and reporting experience.
  • Experience across international tax matters.
  • Exposure to transfer pricing, CFC and/or CbCR.
  • ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach.
  • The ability to work independently and make an immediate contribution.
  • Experience with ONESOURCE Corporate Tax and/or BPC would be advantageous.
