Confidential Education Sector Organisation | Interim Assignment
We are currently supporting a confidential organisation within the education sector, based in Surrey, with the appointment of an experienced Interim Finance Director.
This is a senior interim opportunity for a qualified finance professional who can step into an established finance function, provide stability and leadership, and support the organisation through a period of transition.
The assignment is expected to run for an initial 3-6 months, with potential for extension.
The Opportunity
The successful candidate will provide senior leadership across the finance function, working closely with the wider leadership team and overseeing key financial and operational priorities.
The role will include:
- Providing leadership and stability across the finance function
- Supporting the team through a period of change
- Overseeing core financial control, reporting and compliance
- Supporting the annual audit process
- Reviewing and improving existing finance processes and controls
- Overseeing finance systems and ongoing development activity
- Ensuring key compliance and business-as-usual activities continue effectively
- Providing trusted financial support and insight to senior stakeholders
About You
We are looking for an experienced Interim Finance Director or senior Finance Leader who can quickly establish credibility and make an impact.
You will ideally have:
- xgikmsk
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
- Previous experience operating at Finance Director or equivalent level
- A strong interim track record
- Experience leading finance teams through periods of change
- Strong technical accounting, controls and compliance knowledge
- Experience within a complex organisation
