Robert Half are recruiting on behalf of a well-established international manufacturing business for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their skills across transactional finance, reconciliations, reporting and month-end accounting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance function, ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions
- Managing invoice processing and ensuring financial records are accurately maintained
- Allocating customer payments and reconciling cash receipts
- Supporting credit control activities and monitoring outstanding balances
- Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
- Performing supplier, customer, intercompany and bank reconciliations
- Assisting with month-end accounting processes and financial reporting
- Maintaining schedules relating to fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and operating expenses
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers
- Supporting multiple business entities with accounting requirements
- Providing general finance and accounts administration support
About You
You will have previous experience working within an Accounts or Finance function and be comfortable managing a variety of transactional accounting duties.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role
- Purchase ledger and/or sales ledger experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience of reconciliations and financial administration
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive approach to problem solving and resolving queries
Desirable Experience
- Credit control experience
- SAP or similar ERP/accounting system experience
- AAT qualification or studies towards an accounting qualification
