We're working with an established business based in South Derbyshire that is looking for a Sales Ledger Assistant to join its finance team.
This is a varied role where you'll have exposure to a broad range of sales ledger activity, from cash allocation and invoicing through to customer queries and dispute resolution. You'll work closely with the wider credit control team and have the opportunity to build on your existing finance experience.
What you'll be doing:
- Managing incoming payments and ensuring they're correctly allocated
- Raising customer invoices and maintaining accurate account records
- Dealing with customer queries around invoices and payments
- Helping resolve outstanding disputes
- Working alongside the credit control team to keep cash collection moving
- Supporting the wider finance team with day-to-day sales ledger activity
What they're looking for:
They're open to people at different stages of their finance career, but you'll ideally have some previous experience in sales ledger, accounts receivable, credit control or a similar finance environment.
You'll be someone who is:
- Accurate and naturally detail-focused
- Comfortable speaking with customers and colleagues
- Organised and able to manage your own workload
- Proactive and willing to get stuck in
- Confident using IT and Excel
- Keen to learn and develop within finance
