Robert Half is partnering with a growing technology recruitment firm to recruit a Finance Manager for its head office in Reading. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys being hands-on and is looking to develop into a Financial Controller role (via promotion) over the next 2-3 years. You'll work closely with the Finance Director, taking ownership of key finance processes while helping shape the future of the finance function.
The Role
- You'll oversee the day-to-day finance operations and play a key role in month-end reporting, payroll, forecasting and financial controls.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare Monthly management accounts and reporting packs
- Manage Month-end including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Oversee staff payroll, commissions and pension uploads
- Produce cash flow forecasts and support budgeting activities
- Maintain robust financial controls and support the annual audit
- Partner with operational teams to improve reporting and finance processes
About You
- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience producing management accounts from start to finish
- Confident with balance sheet reconciliations, journals and month-end
- Payroll experience, or the willingness to take ownership following training
- Strong Excel skills and a proactive, organised approach
- Comfortable working in a growing, fast-paced professional services environment
