The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for a Junior/Graduate Accountant on behalf of a Firm of Accountants based in Hertford.
The Role
As Junior/Graduate Accountant you will be providing accountancy and business support services to a portfolio of clients, operating across various industries. Training will be given in house and supported through further training via external providers towards AAT qualification and higher. Day to day duties will consist of:
- Managing workflow to meet deadlines
- Accurate recording of all financial transactions through ledger postings, nominal journals, bank reconciliations etc
- Processing client records to software including Sage, QuickBooks & Xero
- Calculate & make adjustments for depreciation, prepayments, accruals & tax provision
- Preparation and submission of VAT and MTD returns with HMRC & within accounting data
Your Profile
You will ideally have a couple of years accounting experience and working towards AAT. Alternatively a Graduate with an Accounting and Finance Degree will also be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to work through AAT and beyond into ACCA or ACA.
Salary and Benefits
Role of Junior/Graduate Accountant is working 5 days in the office per week and offering a salary up to £30K Depending on experience.
