We're recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a leading manufacturing business on a 12-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys business partnering, financial planning, and driving performance through insightful analysis.
The Opportunity
As a key member of the finance team, you'll provide high-quality financial reporting, forecasting, and commercial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. You'll act as the lead finance contact for all revenue-related activities, taking ownership of forecasting, reporting, and performance analysis while partnering closely with commercial, operational, and finance stakeholders. The role also offers exposure to international collaboration, working alongside the international Corporate Finance team to support consolidated reporting across the wider business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the annual budgeting process, latest outlooks, and monthly forecasting activities.
- Deliver meaningful financial reporting, variance analysis, and performance insights to senior stakeholders.
- Present financial results, forecasts, and business performance updates to leadership teams.
- Monitor short-term financial performance, highlighting key risks and opportunities.
- Take ownership of revenue reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance analysis.
- Manage debtor performance, cash collection, and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), working closely with commercial teams to improve cash flow and reduce credit risk.
- Analyse accounts receivable performance and implement actions to improve working capital.
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting.
- Support strategic projects and cross-functional business initiatives.
- Partner with operational, commercial, and finance teams to drive profitability and business performance.
About You
You'll be a qualified finance professional with strong analytical skills and a proactive, commercial mindset.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA).
- Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting and analysis.
- SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
