Fund Accounting Manager | Real Estate & Investment Management | Central London | £60,000-£64,000 | 12-Month FTC
Robert Half are partnering with a leading international investment management business to recruit a Fund Accounting Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a 1-year fixed-term contract , so we are ideally looking for someone who is happy with a 12-month contract and comfortable committing to the full duration of the role. The role is available to start within the next month, so candidates will need to be immediately available or currently serving their notice period.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant, ideally ACA qualified, who has trained within audit and gained experience auditing investment management businesses, funds or asset management clients.
The role sits within a specialist finance team and provides broad exposure across fund accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting, financial controls and client reporting. You will work closely with fund managers, asset managers, clients and external service providers, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to move from audit into a broad fund accounting role.
The position would suit someone who has developed a strong understanding of financial reporting and controls through auditing funds or asset management clients and is now looking to take greater ownership of the numbers, develop their stakeholder management skills and gain direct exposure to the investment management environment.
About the Position
You will be responsible for:
Reviewing monthly and quarterly financial reporting for a portfolio of UK and European real estate funds, ensuring accuracy, quality and timely delivery.
Reviewing financial statements and challenging accounting treatments to ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant fund reporting requirements.
Presenting financial reporting to clients, responding to queries and building strong, long-term stakeholder relationships.
Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, investigating reconciling items and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained across the funds.
