Robert Half are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation near Basingstoke in the search for a Payroll Specialist
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with payroll experience who is looking to develop their career within a supportive finance team, with exposure to both payroll and wider finance responsibilities.
The Role
You'll take ownership of payroll administration for a portfolio of clients, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while delivering an excellent level of customer service.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, processing and checking end-to-end payrolls
- Managing starters, leavers and employee payroll changes
- Processing Auto Enrolment and pension uploads
- Producing payslips and completing RTI, FPS/EPS and HMRC submissions
- Administering statutory payments including SSP, SMP and SPP
- Handling payroll queries professionally and efficiently
- Supporting year-end payroll processes including P60s and P11Ds
- Assisting the finance team with purchase invoices and bank reconciliations during busier periods
About You
We're looking for someone who is organised, detail-oriented and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
You'll ideally have:
- 1-2 years' experience across the full payroll lifecycle
- A payroll qualification (or be studying towards one)
- Experience using BrightPay payroll software
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- The ability to manage deadlines with a high level of accuracy
- Accounts payable experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential
