Robert Half is delighted to be partnering with a well-established international manufacturing and engineering business to recruit a Financial Controller on an 18-month fixed-term contract basis to cover maternity leave. The role will be based in Fife with hybrid working on offer.

The Role
Reporting into senior finance leadership, the Financial Controller will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business whilst providing commercial support to stakeholders across multiple functions.
Key responsibilities will include:
Leading the monthly management reporting process and ensuring timely, accurate financial information.
Managing forecasting, budgeting, and planning activities.
Maintaining robust financial controls and balance sheet integrity.
Overseeing VAT and other statutory compliance requirements.
Supporting inventory and fixed asset accounting processes.
Partnering with operational and commercial teams to provide financial insight and support business performance.
Identifying and driving process improvement initiatives across finance.
Leading, developing, and supporting an established finance team.
About You
We are keen to speak with finance professionals who can demonstrate:
A professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Previous experience in a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager position.
Strong financial reporting, planning, and analysis capabilities.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
Strong systems and Excel proficiency.
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
