Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a fast-growing, PE-backed international software company based in Cambridge to secure a detail-oriented and commercially minded Revenue Accountant on a 3-6 month temporary assignment.
In this vital role, you will take ownership of revenue recognition, working capital components, and receivables processes, partnering closely with Sales and Customer Success Management (CSM) teams to ensure billing accuracy and robust financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements

Revenue & Reporting: Prepare and maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) and accrued revenue reporting, tracking unbilled activity and ensuring alignment between delivery milestones and recognised or accrued income.

IFRS 15 & Balance Sheet: Apply strong experience with revenue recognition principles (IFRS 15) and their interaction with WIP, contract assets, and deferred revenue in a software context. Own and maintain working capital balance sheet reconciliations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales and CSM teams to validate billing milestones, confirm contract terms, and resolve disputes.

Essential Skills: Proven experience in a working capital, revenue, or AR finance role within a software/tech environment; strong understanding of IFRS 15; advanced Excel skills.

Desirable Criteria: Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
Working Arrangements

Hybrid Model: On-site in Cambridge on Mondays and Wednesdays (conveniently located within walking distance of the station for commuters), with remote working flexibility for the remainder of the week.

Remuneration: £300 to £400 per day (PAYE).
