We are recruiting for an experienced Management Accountant to join a fast-paced, growing business on a temporary to permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational stakeholders and providing meaningful financial insight to support business performance.
Working as part of a collaborative finance team, you will take ownership of the management accounts process, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and play a key role in driving continuous improvement across financial reporting and controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting commentary.
- Production of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow reports.
- Month-end close activities including accruals, prepayments and journals.
- Balance sheet reconciliations and investigation of variances.
- Support budget and forecasting processes across multiple departments.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insight to senior stakeholders.
- Monitor key business metrics, profitability and margin performance.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital reporting.
- Partner with operational teams to support decision-making and cost control.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
- Support year-end audit requirements and statutory reporting.
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting, analysis and finance projects.
About You
- Part-qualified, studying, or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a Management Accountant or Assistant Management Accountant role.
- Strong month-end and management accounts experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data.
- Confident communicating with stakeholders across the business.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Desirable
- Experience of working within a high-volume transactional environment.
- Exposure to stock, inventory or product-based businesses.
- Experience using ERP systems and BI reporting tools.
- Previous involvement in process improvement initiatives
