At Robert Dyas, as we continue to evolve our multi-channel experience, we are looking for a high-impact Merchandiser to take full accountability for a category’s financial performance. In this role, you aren’t just managing stock—you are the engine room of our profitability. You’ll partner with our Buying team to turn departmental strategies into commercial realities.

The Core of Your Role

  • Profit Maximisation: You’ll own the budget. From monitoring daily performance to proposing bold markdown strategies, your goal is simple: maximise margin and minimise clearance.
  • Strategic Range Planning: Working alongside Buyers, you’ll use historical data and forward-looking trends to build a range that optimises space and delights our customers.
  • Inventory Mastery: In a convenience-led business, availability is everything. You will manage the 'Open to Buy' (OTB), oversee stock flow through our Distribution Centres, and ensure our shelves (physical and digital) are never empty.
  • Supplier & Team Leadership: You’ll build robust relationships with global suppliers and, more importantly, mentor the next generation of talent within your trading team.
