Join the Robert Dyas Team! We're looking for a reliable and hardworking Driver's Mate to join our night delivery team at our Hemel Hempstead Distribution Centre.

About the Role:

Working alongside one of our night drivers, you'll help deliver stock safely and efficiently to our stores, ensuring every delivery arrives on time and in excellent condition, while adhering to strict safety regulations and company procedures. This is a physically active role where no two nights are the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in delivering great service.

What you'll do:

  • Supporting the driver with nightly deliveries to stores
  • Loading and unloading stock safely and efficiently, including using a tail lift for kerbside deliveries
  • Ensuring products are handled carefully to minimise damage
  • Assisting with moving stock into store stockrooms where required
  • Carrying out vehicle checks alongside the driver where appropriate
  • Maintaining excellent health and safety standards at all times
  • Providing friendly and professional service when interacting with our store teams
  • Helping to keep the vehicle clean, organised and secure throughout each shift

What we're looking for:

  • Can remain calm under pressure and work to tight delivery schedules

Previous experience within deliveries, warehousing, logistics or retail would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
