Join the Robert Dyas Team! Robert Dyas is looking for a skilled Class 2 HGV Driver to join our growing team at our Hemel Hempstead Distribution Centre.

About the Role:

In this role, you'll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to and from our locations. You'll ensure all deliveries and pickups are completed efficiently, while adhering to strict safety regulations and company procedures.

What you'll do:

  • Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle
  • Deliver and collect goods, including using a tail lift for kerbside deliveries
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and post-trip vehicle checks
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
  • Communicate effectively with the team and report any issues promptly
  • Handle goods with care and secure them properly using best practice procedures

What we're looking for:

  • Valid HGV Class 2 licence
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience driving Class 2 HGVs
  • Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
  • Ability to read and follow GPS and navigation systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Physically fit for handling heavy loads
  • Experience with multi-drop deliveries, including kerbside with a tail lift

A bonus if you have:

  • Driver trainer/assessor experience
  • ADR (Dangerous Goods) qualification
