Role Description

This full-time Automotive Technician role is an on-site position based in Yeovil.

The technician will carry out routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections, servicing, and oil changes, following manufacturer guidelines and company procedures.

Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing faults, performing mechanical and electrical repairs, and working on suspension and other key systems in vehicles.

The role involves using diagnostic equipment, maintaining accurate service records, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in vehicle maintenance and routine servicing, including inspections and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Experience in automotive repair and general maintenance & repair across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of suspension systems, including diagnosis, repair, and replacement of components.
  • Relevant automotive qualifications or apprenticeship (e. g., NVQ/City & Guilds or equivalent) and experience in a workshop environment.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and follow technical manuals and repair procedures accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, and focus on high-quality workmanship.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a diverse, inclusive team.
  • Experience with German and Jaguar Land Rover vehicles is preferred, but not a deal breaker.
  • Valid UK driving licence is required.
