We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Technical Training department as a Centre based training engineer in our Worcester Training Academy. The training team provides a range of product training and industry qualifications across the UK and Ireland through a network of training academies, mobile training vans and training partners. The training offer complements our extensive HVAC portfolio including domestic and commercial gas, oil, heat pumps, air conditioning and HIUs. We are responsible for delivering this training primarily to our installers but also to our internal customers including service engineers, professional sales team and apprentices.

The Centre-Based Trainer delivers structured, high-quality training courses at Worcester Bosch’s academies, equipping internal and external customers with the knowledge and practical skills needed to install, service, and maintain Worcester Bosch products safely and effectively, while upholding the company’s reputation for technical excellence and professional development. The training team operates under the guidance of the training leadership and technical support functions, ensuring that sessions are aligned with the company's standards and objectives. You may be required to support other areas of the department with travel to different locations across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and engaging product training sessions.
  • Support professional development for installers and apprentices.
  • Promote best practice in installation, maintenance, and safety.
  • Enhance customer experience and strengthen Worcester Bosch’s reputation for technical expertise, industry knowledge and quality.
  • Prepare and update course content and training materials to ensure the offering is in-line with current standards and market development.
  • Maintain, enhance, and ensure the operational readiness and presentation of the training centre to the highest standards.
  • Participate in “train the trainer” initiatives for new products and services.
  • Actively develop technical skills and keep market knowledge up to date.

Qualifications

  • ACS CCN1 & CEN1 qualifications preferable – other industry qualifications are advantageous.
  • NVQ Level 3 in plumbing and heating or equivalent experience.
  • Full driving licence.

Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent technical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in a training capacity preferable but not essential.
  • A trade-related background.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) an advantage.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills adaptable to a range of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of low temperature systems, installations and commissioning procedures.
  • Experienced in current health, safety and environment.
  • Experience or understanding of renewable technologies preferable but not essential.
  • Confident in ability to deliver training of the highest quality expected of a market leader.
  • Comfortable with talking to learners across a wide range of skills and positions.
