We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join our Foreign Trade Operations Department team as a Foreign Trade Operations Apprentice! Our department (GS/OSD4-EMEA2) takes responsibility for all aspects of foreign trade (customs) for multiple Bosch companies around the UK & IE. We drive development of foreign trade competencies within the organisation whilst ensuring compliance, delivering operational excellence and driving cost savings for the various businesses.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring compliance with relevant UK and IE legislation as well as the Bosch Central Directive "Customs".
- Acting as first level support for stakeholder queries utilising the Foreign Trade ticketing system (ESM).
- Assisting in the management of external customs brokers for the majority of the import/export declarations with the target to drive their operational improvements.
- Adapting to the ever-changing regulatory requirements whilst embracing digitalisation.
Qualifications:
- Right To Work: please ensure you have valid Right To Work in the UK status for the duration of the contract term. This is a 2-year fixed term role.
- Self-motivated attitude and committed to team engagement / working.
- A desire to develop IT skills including coding.
- A strong attention to detail to drive quality improvements.
- A structured approach to managing tasks.
- The desire to work with and effectively communicate to all levels of the organisation.
Our ideal candidate should have:
- A keen interest in government policy, geopolitics and economics.
- An understanding of Supply Chain Management ideally having experience of working in logistics.
- A good understanding of data analysis, decision making and problem solving.
Additional Information:
- Expected Start Date: 1st October 2026 (this date is advisory and can be flexible within reason).
- Contract Duration: 2 years.
- Working Hours: 39 hours per week – standard working pattern of 08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday with a 1-hour lunch break.
