The Technical Intern assists in processing project specifications using the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, checking for accuracy and raising any technical queries with the technical team as required. They are required to monitor requests from the Project Administration Team (PAT), answering queries directly or escalating urgent matters as needed. An important part of the role is liaising with the wider technical team, sales teams, and the internal Project Administration Team (PAT); coordination with Logistics (LOG), Technical Support (ESE), and Service (ASA) may also be required.
They will develop specialist product knowledge to support the technical team with day‑to‑day activities, such as advising customers on product specifics and use cases, which may include attending relevant industry and company training courses. They assist in the development of technical documentation, calculation tools and support the ongoing maintenance of technical documents and resources. Their key responsibility is to assist the technical team with the selection and specification of the correct product offering for individual projects.
They will assist in progressing quotation requests within the CRM system to meet the key target turnaround times and offer support on product selection and general technical office work based on their level of experience, including monitoring requests from the project administration team, answering queries where possible or escalating as required. They will support the technical team in creating local documents and liaising with the wider business. The Technical Intern will develop their knowledge of the commercial and industrial heating industry to support the wider business as and when required. The majority of their time will be office based, however there may be the occasional opportunity for visits to customers or other Bosch sites.
Key Focuses:- Monitoring requests from the project administration team, addressing queries or escalating where necessary.
- Assisting the technical team with processing project specifications and maintaining the CRM.
- Assisting with the organisation of team files, datasheets, drawings and other technical information.
- Liaising with other teams to filter technical requests and proactively manage time and resources.
- Assist with the production of technical literature and calculation tools.
- Strong Technical Aptitude: Capacity to quickly understand complex products and systems. Backgrounds in building services, general/design engineering, or materials science are highly desirable.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Actively contributes to group efforts and works cooperatively across different departments to achieve shared objectives.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrates a strong technical curiosity and commitment to developing and sharing specialised industry knowledge.
