Job Description
As a
Sales Administration Degree Apprentice within BEG, based in Nuneaton , you will play a key role in supporting the commercial success of the business by providing administrative, operational, and sales support across a wide range of projects and customer accounts.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine academic learning with practical business experience , gaining exposure to sales operations, customer relationship management, invoicing, reporting, commercial processes, and business administration while working towards a recognised degree qualification.
You will work closely with Sales Managers, Project Managers, Finance teams, and customers, developing the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed for a successful career within sales, business management, or commercial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the sales team with quotations, proposals, contracts, and customer correspondence.
- Assist with managing customer information and opportunities within relevant systems.
- Support commercial activities including order processing, contract administration, and customer account management.
- Prepare customer presentations, reports, and sales materials where required.
- Help track sales performance metrics and customer activity.
- Administration & Business Operations
- Manage and maintain accurate business records and documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, customer visits, and internal workshops.
- Support diary management, travel arrangements, and event coordination where required.
- Ensure business processes and documentation are maintained and continuously improved.
- Support invoicing activities and ensure transactions are processed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Assist with monitoring outstanding payments and accounts receivable activities.
- Work with internal stakeholders to resolve invoicing or payment queries.
- Produce monthly summaries and reports to support business decision-making.
- Reporting & Data Analysis
- Create and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and other business systems.
- Analyse sales and business performance data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Support management reporting activities and business reviews.
- Assist with process improvement initiatives through data-driven recommendations.
- Build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Interface with customer purchasing, finance, and administration teams.
- Provide professional and responsive support to customer enquiries.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the UK and internationally.
Qualifications
- A-levels (or equivalent) suitable for entry onto a degree apprenticeship programme.
- Strong interest in business, sales, commercial operations, or administration.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Power Point.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Valid UK driving licence or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience using data analysis or reporting tools.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP.
- Previous customer service, administration, or commercial experience.
- Interest in technology, engineering, or the automotive industry.

To be eligible for an apprenticeship, you must
- Be a UK citizen or have proof of your right to work in the UK.
- Have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years or more.
- If you are not a UK or EEA citizen, you must have resided in the UK for the last 3 years.
This role is based in Nuneaton and you will be expected to attend the office 2-3 times per week. There will be occasional travel to London as part of the requirements of the course
