Under the brand name of Rexroth, the company supplies customers with tailored solutions for driving, controlling and moving industrial applications, factory automation equipment, mobile applications and renewable power generation. At our plant in Glenrothes, Scotland, we design, develop and produce radial piston motors working in partnership with world renowned international OEMs in industries such as material handling, construction and forestry machinery.

Job Description

  • Work with cross functional teams on continuous improvement and MAE projects to support business requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of PFMEA’s and generating appropriate actions where required.
  • Assist in establishing output targets based on machine cycle times and operator activity times ensuring continuous improvement in processes and improving manufacturing quality by reduction in process variations.
  • Develop process documentation for use by the machine shop personnel.
  • Ensure all internal Machine & Equipment (MAE) moves are followed according to procedure.
  • Liaise & manage subcontractors & ensure safe working practices.
  • Participate in value stream workshops and assist in implementation projects.
  • Manage Plant Layout master drawing.
  • Develop methods and processes using IE (TEF6) techniques to improve operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with the introduction of prototype parts into the GleP production processes (PEP).
  • Liaise with supplier representatives and manufacturers on various production support equipment to identify solutions for improvement opportunities and establish technical specifications.

Qualifications

  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • HNC in Manufacturing or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a serial production manufacturing and assembly environment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft office packages with the ability to use AutoCAD, Visio and project management software.
  • MTM UAS, ERGO, PFMEA and other bespoke software knowledge/experience preferable, although training would be provided.
  • Knowledge/understanding of Industrial Engineering techniques, STAB, Workplace design, Defining of routing standards.
