The role of the Manufacturing Coordination department is to coordinate manufacturing strategies across all Compact Hydraulics Manufacturing locations. With facilities in USA, Brazil, UK, Italy and China, we coordinate many aspects related to manufacturing, including but not limited to, investment planning, production relocation, automation, efficiency and capacity.

Responsibilities

  • You will acquire an in-depth insight and understanding of the engineering of Hydraulic Valves and Manifolds.
  • You will get a broad understanding of the whole business, touching every department in the organisation.
  • Support the project manager and project team with Manufacturing Coordination Projects and core tasks.
  • Pull together all information related to the production of certain products, including processes, tooling, special equipment.
  • Coordinate the product development(s) and the related production processes in the Birmingham Plant, following both technical and logistical aspects related to relocation up to the introduction of the first samples on the market.
  • Help with the transfer of knowledge and production technologies currently in use, developing a continuous flow of information between production plants, to ensure that customers achieve the same level of quality, service and performance from all establishments.
  • Sharing information in formats suitable for multi-disciplinary teams in multiple countries.
  • Gather the relevant manufacturing process documentation and ensure that it is aligned with the documentation.
  • Preparing equipment specifications, gathering quotations and ordering new production equipment.
  • Pulling and combining data from multiple sources and distilling into meaningful information to aid business decisions.
  • You will be part of the project team setting up a new manufacturing location in India in 2026.
  • Co-ordination of tasks related to different departments within the company (Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, Production, Assembly, Testing, etc.).
  • Scheduling of tasks to meet milestones according to target baseline.
  • Support in the preparation of the monthly reporting on investments and WE by contacting the various DCOC establishments and collecting the information necessary for the preparation of group reports.

Qualifications

  • Good quality Mechanical / Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree.
  • Good technical knowledge of both production processes and products (knowledge of both technical drawing and ability to read hydraulic schematics).
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and strong organisational skills.
  • Able to meet strict deadlines and produce clear and concise work.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience of working in different cultures desired.
  • Excellent MS Office capability and understanding and experience of large data manipulation tools (Power BI, etc.).
