To provide applications support and solutions to customers and colleagues to meet customer requirements for electronic / electro-hydraulic systems globally. Further to provide comprehensive technical advice and expertise to both HydraForce Customers and HydraForce Internal Departments, liaising with field based Sales personnel and internal departments to ensure the effective provision of information and advice to meet customer needs.

  • Review, advise and process system requests (including those for new/modified products) from the field and support sales at customers to initiate new (electronic) projects, if required.
  • Review and process requests for hardware adaptations or development, as well as providing technical expertise and advice.
  • Provide product and systems recommendations on a timely basis in accordance with customer needs and requirements.
  • Integrate electro-hydraulic control systems with OEM specific electronic architecture.
  • Create statement of work in early project phase, to be used for (budgetary) development cost calculation.
  • Develop project specific documentation to fulfil customer requirements, but also against internal guidelines, incl. fulfilling necessary standards.
  • Develop application specific software and provide field support when required for the initial test and optimization of systems and components.
  • Provide field support when required for system commissioning.
  • Liaise with Sales, Customers and other personnel to report activities and progress.
  • Involved in creating market surveys for special markets or application solutions, providing feedback and recommendations based on gathered data.
  • In field data-acquisition (e.g. PEAK PCAN-Explorer) incl. data-analysis and conclusion.
  • Assist customer in hands-on trouble shooting when required to identify and resolve issues.
  • Liaise with other internal departments, customers and other personnel (e.g. suppliers) to coordinate activities and project progress.
  • Work with Sales, Applications Engineers, customers and other relevant personnel to coordinate projects to meet customer requirements.
  • Involvement in university cooperations/projects.
  • Support (application and solution) trainings for internal or external ‘customers’ or customer Tech Days on request.
  • Liaise with international CH and Bosch Rexroth colleagues where required in the further development of personal expertise and knowledge.
  • Provide support at exhibitions where required.

Qualifications:

  • MEng in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Proven experience in application of hydraulic & electronic systems in the mobile equipment market.
  • Significant experience with C, C++, Matlab Simulink, CoDeSys.
  • Deep knowledge in functional safety standards required for mobile machines (EU Machinery Directive, DIN EN ISO 13849, DIN EN ISO 25119, etc.).
  • Strong working knowledge of electronics and field bus systems essential.
  • Good technical ability in hydraulic valves and systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of electro-hydraulic systems related to mobile equipment.
  • Previous exposure to or experience in a sales environment.
  • Computer literate, with sound knowledge of Microsoft packages and experienced in use of MRP systems.
