Robert Bosch LLC seeks Application Calibration Engineer (Multiple Positions) at its facility located at 15000 Haggerty Road, Plymouth, MI 48170. Responsible for radar vehicle integration, debugging/troubleshooting using automotive development tools such as CANalyzer, CANape and Matlab. Responsible for bench and vehicle testing (public road and test track). Perform In-vehicle and simulation/bench performance calibration of radar sensor-based algorithms to meet both objective and subjective customer and Bosch performance specifications.

Evaluate customer specifications, translate them to system requirements in Rational DOORS, evaluate requirements and test coverage, and support issue/defect tracking. Define and document test cases, test strategy, and analyze and document test data/results. Recommend software/logic changes for performance issues that cannot be solved via parameter tuning. Exercise the application and calibration responsibilities of advanced radar-based driver assistance functions and support project management related tasks.

Work directly with an entire development team, which includes software developers, fellow application engineers, and project managers to develop project specific solutions for driver assistance and automated driving technologies. Monitor vehicle testing and calibration for radar-based driver assistance functions. Support test drives with customers and assist in technical project management tasks. Support system development, validation, and delivery activities according to Bosch guidelines.

Organize and execute performance evaluations and validation test trips and will serve as the point of contact for OEMs for application topics and prepare technical presentations for customers. Train and mentor interns and co-ops. Monitor the Adaptive Cruise Control and Automatic Emergency Braking calibration for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) customer projects and leverage the beneficiary’s excellent OEM customer relationships within the projects in North America Plymouth organization.

REQS: This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. 3 years of experience as an ADAS Radar Calibration, ADAS Application Engineer, ADAS Calibration Engineer or occupation involving vehicle/system testing and release procedures in the automotive industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) ADAS system architecture; (2) Vehicle networking and diagnostics; (3) Application/calibration for radar-based driver assistance functions; (4) Vehicle Electronics and Sys/SW architecture including networks and diagnostics; (5) Validation and performance testing for ADAS systems in vehicles and (6) Automotive tools for troubleshooting in vehicle and bench. 5% Domestic/International Travel.
